After Friday nights efforts (read that post here) we had four more games to play to round off our second weekend of footy! The 8's and 10's at Byron, and our Under 10 girls and Under 12's at Barry Sheppard Oval, Cabarita.

Lismore Swans Under 8's vs Byron Magpies U8's
Our youngest legends in the making, took to the field in Byron, with energy and smiles aplenty! They came up against a bigger team of very well drilled boys, but our Swannies ran and ran, and played with great spirit, teamwork, and fair play!
Enjoying yourselves with your teammates, and having fun learning new skills is the focus for these champs, and they are delivering that in spades!

Lismore Swans Under 10's vs Byron Magpies U10's
The 10's took on, once again, a strong Byron outfit in a very entertaining and fast moving game. From the opening bounce it was clear that both teams were out there to get as much of the footy as they can!
Plenty of great passages of play were happening, from the defensive rebounds, running through the middle, and getting it to the forwards. They all ran off the ground at the end of the game, put their arms around each other, and belted out the team song! Well done guys!

Lismore Swans Girls Under 10 vs Tweed Tigers U8's
The final two games now shifted to Round Mountain road, Cabarita, where our Under 10's girls team played their first game! At this stage we only have a couple of girls playing in coach Corey Smith's team, so as a result of that, they were allowed to join in with the Tweed girls Under 10 team, and played against their Under 8's!
It's great to see clubs help each other like this, and we know that there are more girls coming into this team. Lets get this team stronger, so all girls have the opportunity to play this great game!

Swans Under 12's vs Tweed Tigers U12's
In the last game of the round. our 12's came up against a very strong, tall and fast Tigers outfit. The endeavour and desire from each of the Swans players never wavered, however, but the results just weren't reflecting on the scoreboard.
The beauty of playing footy is when you're given another week to bounce back, try new skills, new strategies, play in a different position, and to just keep having fun! Drilling a pass, onto the chest, laces out. Gotta love footy!

It looks like there may be multiple venues visited by our teams over the the next period, but we know that with the culture and spirit we are building at this club, that each and every one of our family are representing us in the right way!
