U10.5's Vs Ballina
Under 11.5
The girls headed down to play the Ballina bombers on Sunday for what is usually a close match up and this one was no different.
The game stared close and remained so throughout the entire match .
Mihaela was again solid in defence being well assisted by Katrina. Mahal was good in the forward line and Elsie again put on some good tackles.
Sal got creative with some leads to open space and Larni as  asked found the open player.
Tackling is still a sticking point for us with opposition teams leading the way.
Under 14s Ballina Swans
Ballina Swans took on the combined Byron Bay side again. Byron got off to a strong start kicking 6 goals to nothing in the first quarter. The second quarter saw a tighter contest with 2 goals each and our midfield of Jack, Jack, Jayden and Lochlan starting to get on top. The third quarter another tight one with Ballina kicking 2 to Byron’s 3 goals. Our midfield still on top. The last quarter was all square yet again, with Caleb taking 4 goal saving marks and our midfield of the 2 Jack’s, Jayden and Lochlan working together beautifully. Backline held strong after 1/4 time led by Caleb, Kobi and Josh.
Fantastic game everyone hold your heads up high after that performance.
